Members of the Charles Drew Medical Society have announced intentions to set up a trust fund for two surviving children of Dr. G. Murdock Wharton, well-known gynecologist who died following a heart attack while attending a prizefight, Nov. 21. Dr. Wharton was seized with a heart attack while attending the Eddie Machen-Joe Frazier prizefight in Los Angeles. He failed to respond to immediate hospital treatments. The trust fund will be named for Gayle Lynn Wharton, 10, and Bradley Cordell Wharton, 5 years old.

Born in Altoona, Penn., Dr. Wharton had lived in the city for the past 11 years. He attended Williston Academy, Dartmouth, and graduated from Howard Medical School. He was a great sport enthusiast and had a masters degree in Physical Education.

Other survivors include the widow, Donzella Coulter Wharton; mother, Mrs. Cordell Wharton; brother, Dr. U[lysses]. S. Wharton of Patterson, N. J.
