Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Dr. Leo Y. Granger, 36, at his late residence, 28 Richmond street, Newark, with the Rev. Louis Berry, rector of St. Phillip's P.E. Church, and the Rev. George Plasket, pastor of the Epiphany Mission, both of Newark, officiating.

Dr. Granger, who died at Beth Israel Hospital Saturday after an illness of a month's duration, was born in Tulsa, Okla. His parents moved to Newark, where he attended the public schools. He later attended Dartmouth College, where he received the degree of bachelor of science. While at Dartmouth, Dr. Granger was a member of the track team. After graduation from Dartmouth, he entered the Medical School of Columbia University, from which he received his M.D. degree.

Surviving Dr. Granger are his mother, Mrs. Mary Turpin Granger; his wife, Mrs. Ethel Granger; a son, Leo Y. Granger, Jr., 11, and five brothers, four of whom are physicians. They are Dr. Lloyd Granger, Newark; Dr. Augustus Granger, Harrisburg, Pa.; Drs. Carl and William R. R. Granger, Brooklyn, and Lester B. Granger, director of the Urban League, Los Angeles, Calif.
